PROJECT #355: Provision of Stationery & Sport Equipment for Flood Affected Areas in Lorestan – 2019

This project supported 1,000 children affected by the devastating floods in the cities of Pol-e Dokhtar and Mamulan in Lorestan Province. Many had lost their school supplies, books, clothing, and personal belongings due to the disaster.

A “Joy Caravan” was organized to bring hope and emotional relief to the children through cultural, recreational, and psychological activities. The initiative included theater, music, games, competitions, snacks, and the distribution of toys, helping children cope with trauma after the flood.

Yarra Foundation contributed by providing storybooks, activity books, and stationery packages, helping students rebuild their educational resources and enjoy a brighter summer.

Cost: 21,000,000 Toman (≈ AUD $2,234)

Location: Pol-e Dokhtar & Mamulan, Lorestan Province

Number of Children: 1,000
