PROJECT #599: Procurement of notebook binding machines & accessories for Mehrgiti to make usable notebooks from donated used notebooks 2024

Every year, a large number of student notebooks still contain many unused pages and are usually discarded. With a few simple and inexpensive machines, this paper can easily be recycled and turned into new, usable notebooks for students in underprivileged areas.

Beyond preventing waste, this initiative teaches important environmental values to students.
Yarra Foundation has funded the purchase of equipment to support Mehrgiti Institute in the process of recycling used notebooks.
The recycled notebooks are distributed to students in need across Sistan and Baluchestan with the cooperation of Mehrgiti Institute.

Details:

  • Number of Kids: 3000
  • Cost: 160 million IRR (≈ AUD $3212)
