Lashar, recently elevated to county status, remains one of the most underprivileged regions in Sistan & Baluchestan. To promote educational development and creative growth among children, Yarra Foundation established library and playroom facilities in two primary schools in the area.
These cultural and educational spaces offer students opportunities for interactive learning and recreational engagement, thereby fostering curiosity, communication, and self-confidence. The initiative encourages higher school attendance and supports cognitive and emotional growth through access to books and play-based learning.
In total, the project benefits 1,030 students — 529 girls and 504 boys — who now have access to equipped libraries and dedicated play areas.
