Over a six-year period, the Yarra Foundation supported a student with a disability to continue their education. This support began in the sixth grade of primary school and continued until the end of high school.
During this time, the foundation covered school transportation costs, stationery, and essential personal care items. Given the family’s extremely disadvantaged circumstances, this assistance played a significant role in enabling the student to attend school regularly and consistently.
The support concluded after the student completed high school and was admitted to university, as they were no longer within the age group covered by the Yarra Foundation.
This six-year period reflects the Yarra Foundation’s commitment to equal educational opportunities and its dedication to supporting students with disabilities.
