PROJECT #605 – Job familiarization workshop 2024

This program aims to guide children away from harmful and high-risk jobs toward safer forms of work. At present, these children are often engaged in activities such as waste picking, street vending, sewing, or working in unsafe workshops, earning only about one to two million Tomans per month.

The purpose of this course is to familiarize adolescents with various occupations and help them identify their interests and potential abilities. The jobs introduced are chosen to be accessible for children, requiring no significant capital, special equipment, or long training programs.

Additionally, the selected occupations are designed to broaden their perspective, expose them to new environments and people, and foster motivation and interest in personal growth and continuing education.

  • Number of Kids: 16
  • Cost: 26 million Tomans
  • Location: Karaj Province
  • Cost: AUD $667
