I was born to a working class family in a small town in western Azerbaijan. After high school, with a bit of luck, I got accepted in Amirkabir university in Tehran and studied software engineering. Later on, with my wife and daughter, we moved to Australia. Now we live in Sydney and I work at Atlassian, which is one of the best places to work in, for people like me. During my time there I found out about Room to Read, a charity organization that helps children of poor families in developing countries to stay at school rather than working in the farm. Thinking about my past, I realized how a series of lucky events got me into the place I am right now. I strongly believe that education can break the poverty cycle, and I am here to give back to all the kids in my home country who do not have access to proper education.
