Helping Feet is a community fundraising event that is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness. This event is jointly organised by the Yarra Foundation and the Iranian Bushwalkers with the aim of raising much-needed funds to provide essential educational support, infrastructure and resources to disadvantaged children in Iran. WALK, RUN or RACE in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges National Park along one of three designated event tracks.

Pick up your track based on your fitness. There are four options to choose from (see below table).
Course Information
Yellow Track
Start Time: 9:00 am (arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time)
Finish Time: 1 pm
Distance: 8 km
Length: maximum 5 hours
Difficulty: grade 2*

Suitable for families with young children. You can walk this track with a rather relaxed pace and still get to the finish line in time for your light lunch. If you would like a bit of a challenge you can jog or run this track at a faster pace. Expect to see our lovely volunteers along the track. The track is signed but we recommend you study the map prior to starting to have a good understanding of your surroundings.
Blue Track
Start Time: 8:00 am (arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time)
Finish Time: 1:00 pm
Distance: 16 km
Length: maximum 5 hours
Difficulty: grade 3*

Recommended for people with some bushwalking experience. To finish this track in 5 hours you will need to walk an average of 3 km per hour, which can be challenging considering the terrain and elevation profile of the track. Be prepared, have some snacks and drinks with you and expect to see our lovely volunteers along the track.
Pink Track
Start Time: 7:30 am (arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time)
Finish Time: 1:30 pm
Distance: 24 km
Length: maximum 6 hours
Difficulty: grade 5*

Recommended for very experienced bushwalkers. This is a tough challenge! Walking this track in 5 hours requires a high level of fitness and experience in bushwalking. If you have the fitness and want to challenge your body, this is the track for you. Be well prepared, have enough snacks and some drinks with you and expect to see our lovely volunteers along the track.
White Track
Start Time: 1:00 pm
Finish Time: 3:00 pm
Distance: 0 km (yes, zero km)
Difficulty: grade 1*

Cannot be there for the whole morning? Too difficult to walk with the little one(s)? Still want to contribute, have a fun day and share the joy? If so, this is the track for you. Just rock up to the finish line at any time between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, enjoy a light lunch, cheer on the participants and join the fun.

And on the event day
- Make sure you bring a bottle of water. There will be hydration stations on the track where you can fill up your bottle.
- Bring hat, comfy walking/running shoes, sunscreen and some snacks
- Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your race start time
- Collect race number at the registration desk
- You can either hike or participate in the race for each track
- Participants with three best times in each track will receive Helping Feet 2018 medal.
- Collect your finisher pack from the registration desk
- Head to lunch area for a light lunch
